Surprise Snow

Temps dropped close to freezing this afternoon and any rain changed to snow-even here in JP. We got around 2 inches in the city.  However, some of the northern and western suburbs picked up several inches. Now, another weak system may bring a passing snow shower on Sunday, but most of the day is just  mostly cloudy. Then a strong cold front will cross the area on MLK day. Following that temps will struggle to reach the teens.

Snow Totals: Saturday

Boylston, MA: 7.4  inches
Framingham: 5.7
Stow: 5
Woburn: 4.5
Sudbury: 3
Boston: 1.9

 Boston forecast:

Tonight: Any snow ends, then mostly cloudy. Low 28. Beware of icy roads.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy with a passing snow shower. High 37. SW winds of 15-25 MPH.

Sunday night: Partly cloudy and colder. Lows in the mid 20's.

MLK Day: Partly sunny with a snow shower or squall possible. Highs in the mid 30's.

Tuesday: Sunny and very cold. Highs around 18.

Wednesday: Sunny with highs in the teens.

Patriots Forecast: The pats play the Denver Broncos in Denver on Sunday afternoon with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. The forecast for the game is sunny skies and temps around 60 along with light winds.
