A powerful storm will hit the area on Saturday and Saturday night with heavy rain and strong winds. And, there is a chance for flooding because of ice jams in some rivers. For the game windswept downpours are likely along with warm temps. Sunday should clear out with temps in the 40's.

A Freezing Rain Advisory is in effect from Route 495 and points NW.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Boston area for Saturday evening

Tonight: Cloudy with fog and scattered rain showers. Temps holding near 40. South winds of 10-20 MPH.
Saturday: Showers with downpours. High 57. South winds increasing 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH in the afternoon.
