It continues to snow lightly here in JP as of 530 PM. We have about 5.5 inches in my yard so far. The snow may become moderate at times overnight into Sunday morning, especially along the coast. The snow will begin to wind down by midday Sunday, but snow showers may continue well into the evening along the coast.

A Coastal flood warning is in effect for the coastline for the noon high tide Sunday.

Storm report:
Major coastal flooding occurred this morning in many areas including on Morrisey BLVD right by UMASS, where the road was closed for several hours. Also, on castle island the flooding reached the sidewalks and up to the interior wall, which is rare. In Revere, a car was submerged on a coastal road causing the road to be closed for several hours.
Forecast: Temps in the mid to upper 20's during the entire period.
Tonight: Periods of Snow. Becoming windy. NW winds of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH. Additional snow accumulations of 2-4 inches along the coast- including the Boston area.
Sunday: Snow until 1 PM, then snow showers likely. NW winds of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH. Additional snow accumulation of 1-2 inches, but less west of 128.
Sunday night: Cloudy with scattered snow showers, mainly along the coast.
Total Amounts:
10-12: Parts of Cape Ann and the South Shore.
6-10: The immediate Boston area points north along 95 and points east. Around 8 inches in JP.
3-6: West of 128.
