Active Pattern

A warm front may bring a few showers and drizzle as temps rise to near 50. Then low pressure will come into the area on Friday with more rain. But, as colder air comes into the area overnight rain may change to snow. After a cold and dry weekend a more powerful storm may hit the area by Monday.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Increasing clouds with drizzle late. Low 35.

Thursday: Cloudy with fog, scattered showers, mist and drizzle. High 50. SE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Thursday night: Cloudy with periods of rain. Lows in the mid 40's .

Friday: Rain showers in the morning, then scattered rain showers in the afternoon. Highs around 50.

Friday night: More rain arriving in the evening, then likely changing to snow after midnight. Lows around 30. Some accumulation is possible-Stay tuned.

Saturday: Any snow ends, then becoming sunny. Highs in the upper 30's

Sunday: Increasing clouds with highs in the mid 30's .

Extended: A powerful storm will likely hit the area Sunday night into Monday. Highs in the 30's. Stay tuned!
