More Snow on the Way

Snow snarled the morning commute this morning, as it took 2-3 times longer than normal for some to get to work this morning. Snow continued to midday in Boston and amounted to a few inches until it turned to rain. However, NW of 128 5-8 inches of snow fell before the changeover. One more band of snow will come thru Wednesday afternoon, although it may start as rain. Temps will cool thru the day, and the snow may amount to a coating to as much as an inch. Another storm will make a close pass on Friday.

Boston, MA forecast: 

Tonight: Low clouds and fog with drizzle and mist. Near steady temp of 35. No flash freeze expected tonight. East wind of 10-20 MPH 

Wednesday: Mist and drizzle with light rain showers until 2 PM, then snow showers. Temps dropping to 31 by 4 PM. NW wind of 10-20 MPH. Snow amounts of a coating to an inch expected. 

Wednesday night: A flash freeze is expected, as any standing water and slush left will freeze. Snow showers ending, then partial clearing. Lows around 20. 

Thursday: Sunny with highs in the upper 20's. 

Friday: A powerful ocean storm will make a close pass to the area. At this point, snow is possible especially from Boston and points south. Highs in the upper 20's.  

Extended: Arctic air will likely come into New England this weekend. Below 0 temps are possible at night, with highs only in the teens!
