Wet Wednesday.... Halloween?

It now appears that the storm now centered in the Tenn. Valley will come closer to the region than thought yesterday. The storm today came closer than thought providing steady rain this afternoon from Plymouth points south and east. It also created cool and cloudy conditions with a sprinkle or 2 for the rest of the area. Some towns did not make it out of the 40's, and Boston hit 52. The storm for tomorrow will provide rain most of the day, and brisk NE winds gusting to 45 MPH on the cape, and 30 MPH in Boston Wednesday evening.

Local alerts: A wind advisory may be needed for the cape and islands tomorrow evening.

Local forecast:

Tonight: Cloudy with drizzle, except rain may continue on the Cape this evening. Lows in the mid 40's. NE winds of 5-10 MPH.

Wednesday: Rain and wind. Near steady temps in the mid to upper 40's. NE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH, increasing to 40 MPH on the cape in the afternoon.

Wednesday: Rain until around midnight. NE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH on the Cape and islands, and around 30 MPH in the Boston area.

Thursday: Clearing from north to south as the storm pulls away. Highs in the mid 50's with a light east wind.

Extended: On Halloween it will be warm and windy, as temps soar to near 70. However, a strong cold front will approach in the evening. Widespread rain does not seem likely at this point, but scattered showers are possible.
