A cool front came thru the area earlier today ushering in the coolest air of the season so far. Frost is likely in the distant NW suburbs tonight and Thursday night, but not in the city. Now, high pressure will settle in and hang around for several days. Also, a nice warming trend will continue thru the holiday weekend with record heat possible on Sunday!

Boston, MA forecast:
Tonight: Clearing and chilly. Breezy with lows near 44 in Boston, 41 in JP and 36 in the suburbs. NW wind of 15-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH this evening, decreasing to 5-10 MPH late.
Thursday: Bright sunshine and cooler. High 58. NW wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH.
Thursday night: Clear with frost in the suburbs. Lows in the upper 30's.
Friday: Sunny with highs in the low 60's.
Saturday: A great day with sunny skies with highs in the mid 70's.
Sunday: Record heat possible! Mostly sunny with highs in the low 80's. The record high is 82.
Columbus Day: Sunny with highs around 80.
