First Flakes

A potent system will effect the area on Thursday. It will start out as rain in the morning, and slowly turn to snow from NW to SE. The snow will have a hard time sticking to pavement and the roads, but a small accumulation on the grass and cars are possible. After the precip ends temps will fall into the 20's for our first freeze of the season. As of now the weekend storm will go mainly out to sea, but will need to be watched.

Alerts: A Freeze Watch is in effect for the coastline-including Boston for Thursday night into Friday morning.

A Coastal Flood Watch is in effect for the noon high tide Thursday.
