Morning Update

The snow started overnight and has been falling at a light to moderate pace all morning. So far in JP we have picked up around 4 inches. The snow will continue to fall at that pace throughout the day today and tonight. This evening, the wind will pick up to 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 and that will blow and drift the snow making for low visibility. During the day on Sunday it will be just light snow, mainly along the coast. Total accumulations will average 5-8 inches with higher amounts possible near the coast. Scroll down for more details.

Alerts: A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM tonight.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for the entire area for gusts to 50 MPH from 7 tonight thru Sunday.

A Coastal Flood Warning is now in effect thru tonight.

Another update this afternoon.
