Earthquake!

A 7.3 magnitude earthquake has hit the island of Haiti tonight, causing major damage and the threat of a tsunami. A tsunami watch has been issued for Cuba, the DR, and the Bahamas. No major tsunami is expected, but a watch has been issued just in case. There was major shaking and many buildings collapsed, including a hospital, and people in the downtown area panicked. The extent of casualties is not known yet.

As for Boston's weather, the quiet weather will continue with temps reaching the mid 40's by Friday. Otherwise, highs will be mainly in the 30's.

Tonight: Clear and very cold. Lows near 15 in Boston, and near 8 elsewhere. NW wind of 10-20 MPH.

Wednesday: Filtered sunshine and still cold. High 30. NW wind of 10-20 MPH. Wind chill values around 0 in the morning.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, lows in the teens.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, highs in the mid 30's.

Friday: Partly sunny and mild! Highs in the mid 40's.

Saturday: Sunny, highs near 40.

Sunday: Partly sunny, highs in the mid 30's.
