Rain Forecast

A powerful storm will hit the area through the next 24 hours. Periods of rain will last through Thursday morning. And strong winds are likely as well tonight into the morning. And even a few thunderstorms are possible.

A High Wind Watch is in effect south of Boston.

Boston forecast:

Rest of Today: Periods of rain and drizzle. Areas of fog with temps holding near 43. NE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Tonight: Heavy rain with scattered thunderstorms. Temps rising to 60 by morning. SE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH.

Thursday: Rain with scattered thunderstorms until 10 AM, then partly sunny. Temps holding near 60. SE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH.

Friday: Sunny with highs in the upper 30's.

Saturday: Sunny with highs in the 30's.

Sunday: Sunny with highs in the 30's.
