Storm Recap
The storm dropped several inches of snow in the Boston area and over a foot of snow on the cape and Islands. And, winds gusted close to hurricane force on the Cape as well. Nor'easter Update
Well the snow amounted to a little more than I was expecting in Boston and even more south of town. Now, the snow will end around or just after midnight with little additional accumulation. But, it will stay windy overnight. Skies will clear out Sunday morning and temps will rise into the low 30's.

Nor'easter Forecast
Snow should arrive by mid afternoon in the Boston area and continue through the night. It now appears that the storm will track too far south to bring any heavy snow amounts to the Boston area. As the heaviest snow will fall from the DC to NYC corridor. The storm will still bring gusty winds and coastal flooding to southern New England.

Track Shift
Thursday and Friday will feature sunny skies and temps in the upper 20's to near 30. Then a powerful storm will make a close pass to the area over the weekend. However, the latest track sends the storm further out to sea and only grazes the Boston area. So at this point only a few inches of snow is likely in Boston. But, historic snowfall totals are possible in the Mid-Atlantic.

Forecast Update
The next few days will be cold and quiet. Wednesday will feature a mix of sun and clouds and temps a few degrees warmer than today. Thursday and Friday will be similar with sun and temps nearing 30. Then a powerful storm will make a close pass to the area over the weekend. At this point some snow is likely, but the heaviest snow may fall to our south. Cold And Windy
Tuesday will be a cold and windy day along with sunny skies. The wind will gradually diminish mid week but it will remain cold. And temps will remain below freezing through the end of the work week. And we will need to watch for the potential of a major nor'easter by Saturday.

It now appears that the storm has come closer to the area and that will lead to a few inches of snow in the Boston area. Snow has arrived this evening and will continue overnight and into Monday morning. Behind the storm wind and cold will come into New England and will last most of the week.

A nor'easter will hit the area on Saturday with a mix of precip and gusty winds. Rain will arrive after midnight tonight and last into Saturday morning. However, as colder air comes into the area it may mix with snow before ending. And, any precip should be over by game time.

More Rain

Wild Sunday
A powerful storm will effect the area on Sunday with heavy rain and strong winds. The rain will arrive in the morning and continue into the afternoon. The strongest winds will occur in the afternoon as well. And record temps are possible also.

A High Wind Watch is in effect for the Boston area for Sunday.
Boston forecast:
Tonight: Showers and drizzle. Near steady temps around 43. East wind of 15-25 MPH.
Sunday: Heavy rain with scattered thunderstorms. Very windy with a high of 55. SE wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 55 MPH. Total rainfall of 1-2 inches.
Sunday night: Rain ending. Lows in the low 30's. West wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.
Monday: Sunny and colder. Highs in the mid 30's.
Tuesday: Some snow likely by evening. Highs in the mid 30's. Stay tuned!

Storm Forecast
Saturday will be another gray day with cloudy skies and maybe a shower or 2. Then a powerful storm will track to our west on Sunday. The storm will bring heavy rains, damaging winds and maybe a thunderstorm. And record warmth is even possible as well.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with a passing shower, mist and drizzle. Near steady temps around 40. NE wind of 10-15 MPH.
Saturday night: Cloudy with temps holding near 40. East wind of 15-20 MPH.

Forecast Update
Clouds will increase on Friday along with drizzle and patchy freezing drizzle. More light precip is likely on Saturday, but no major icing is expected. On Sunday a powerful storm will travel to our west giving us a warm windswept rain.

Friday: Low clouds and fog with freezing drizzle in the morning, then drizzle in the afternoon. High 38. NE wind of 15-20 MPH.
Friday night: More drizzle and freezing drizzle likely. Lows in the low 30's.
Saturday: Cloudy with areas of freezing drizzle and drizzle. Highs around 40.

One More
Thursday will be similar to Wednesday with sunny skies and seasonal temps. A wind off the water on Friday will lead to more clouds and cooler temps. On Saturday some rain or freezing rain is possible, but no major precip is expected. Then a strong storm on Sunday will bring windswept rain.

Cold Tuesday
The coldest day of the season so far will occur on Tuesday as arctic air comes into the area. However, by Wednesday temps will rise back into the 40's. And temps temps will remain there for the end of the week.

Tuesday: Bright sunshine and becoming less windy. Very cold with a high of 23. NW wind of 10-20 MPH. Wind chill values as low as 5 BELOW before 9 AM.
Tuesday night: Clear with lows in the teens.

The Week Ahead
Monday will feature a mix of sun and clouds along with a a passing snow shower in the Boston area. As most of the snow will occur on the Cape and Islands where a few inches may accumulate. On Tuesday it will be very cold and windy along with sunny skies. Temps will rise back above normal by the middle of the week.
