An EF2 tornado hit Revere around 930 AM with winds of 120 MPH. It was on the ground for only 4 minutes but it did a lot of damage. The tornado covered 3 square miles in the heart of the city. As, 65 buildings were damaged in the area along with many trees downed. And, cars and trucks were flipped over in the area as the tornado passed through. This was the first tornado ever recorded in Suffolk county since 1950! Thankfully, no one was killed and there was just a few minor injuries. In Boston the major thunderstorm caused major flash flooding but escaped major damage.

Thursday: Sunny with highs in the upper 70's.
Friday: Sunny with highs in the 70's.
