UP and Down

SW winds will transport warmer air ahead of a cold front during the day on Wednesday. As the cold front comes through, a brief snow or rain shower is possible. Behind the cold front, arctic air will come into the area for one last day. A warming trend will occur leading into the upcoming weekend, as temps may soar well into the 50's.

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: Clear and seasonable. Lows near 27 in Boston, 24 in JP and around 20 in the suburbs.

Wednesday: Increasing clouds until 3 PM, then scattered rain and snow showers. High 45. SW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Wednesday night: Clearing and cold. Lows in the single numbers with NW winds gusting past 30 MPH.

Thursday: One last day of cold before the warm up. Sunny with highs in the mid 20's.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, but warmer highs in the upper 40's.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers. Highs in the low 50's .

Sunday: Partly sunny with highs well into the 50's!

US weather: Snowiest February on record in Burlington, VT this year with nearly 44 inches. It breaks the old record of 42 inches set in 2008.
