Hurricane Igor is now a Cat 2 Hurricane with winds of 100 MPH. A Hurricane Warning is in effect for Bermuda as the storm tracks directly over or very close to the island tomorrow. A cold front that will come through New England tomorrow will help push Igor out to sea. Then, a surge of warm air will come into the Northeast as fall begins on Thursday.
Boston, MA forecast:
Tonight: Clearing with lows near 50 in Boston and 44 in the suburbs.
Sunday: Mostly sunny in the morning, then increasing clouds with scattered light showers after 3 PM. High 75. SE wind of 10-15 MPH.
Sunday night: Mostly cloudy with a sprinkle possible. Lows in the mid 50's.
Monday: Partly sunny and breezy. Highs in the upper 60's. NE wind of 15-25 MPH.
Tuesday: Sunny with highs in the low to mid 70's.
Wednesday: Partly sunny and warm. Highs in the mid 80's.
Severe weather: 2 tornadoes comfirmed in NYC. One in Brooklyn was a EF0 with winds of 80 MPH. The tornado in queens was an EF1 with winds of 100 MPH. Also, a straight wind gust of 125 MPH was reported in another part of the city.
