Today was a great day here up at PSU with full sunshine and temps near 70. There was also a gusty north wind created by Hurricane Igor hundreds of miles to our east. Another great day is on tap for tomorrow. Then, a warm surge of air will come into NE for the last day of summer. And, it seems another warm blast of air will come into NE for Friday.
Boston, MA forecast:
Tonight: Clear and chilly. Lows near 52 in Boston, 50 in JP and 39 in the coldest suburbs.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high of 74. SW wind of 10-15 MPH.
Tuesday night: Partly cloudy with lows mainly in the 40's.
Wednesday: Sunny in the morning, then increasing clouds with a shower or thunderstorm possible after 5 PM. Warm with highs in the mid 80's. Fall starts at 1109 PM.
Thursday: Happy first full day of Fall! Partly sunny with highs in the mid 70's.
Friday: Partly sunny and warm. Highs in the upper 80's.
Tropics: Hurricane Igor has winds of 75 MPH about 500 miles east of New England. It is expected to brush pass Newfoundland tomorrow, and then head for Greenland as a regular low pressure center. Julia is expected to form in the next couple of days in the central Atlantic.
