Nor'easter Forecast

 A nor'easter will hit the area with heavy snow and gusty winds Wednesday night through Thursday. The heaviest snow will fall Thursday morning and along with gusty winds it will look like a Blizzard a t times. And it now appears that about a foot of snow is possible in the Boston area.

Boston forecast :

Tonight; Clear with a low of 17. 

Wednesday;  Increasing clouds with scattered ocean effect snow showers late. High 27. NE wind of 15-25 MPH. 

Storm Timeline; 

9 PM: Snow arrives in Boston. Temp 28  

10PM- 11 AM Heavy snow and strong winds .Temps near 30 in Boston early will fall through the 20's during the storm. 

11PM-4 PM Thursday; Snow gradually tapers off. Temp 25.

55 MPH: Cape and Islands 

45  MPH: Boston area 

35  MPH: Inland 

 Sn ow Totals; 

10-14+ inches; Most of the Boston area- about a FOOT in JP! Some places may exceed 14 inches. 

5-10 inches: Parts of the far south shore and south coast because of mixing with rain and sleet 

3-5 inches: Parts of the Cape and Islands- change to all rain likely for a time.

Friday; Sunny and cold. Highs in the upper 20's .

Saturday; Sunny with high around 30. 

Sunday; Sunny with highs in the 30's.
