Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and thanks for checking out my blog.  I have returned home from College in Plymouth, and I am looking forward to a relaxing holiday with my family. Thanksgiving will be a dry day, although it will be seasonably cold. Clouds will increase in the afternoon ahead of our next storm. Precip may start as a brief period of sleet around midnight, but change to rain by dawn. No accumulation is expected, and roads will be just wet for shopping. This weekend will remain cold, along with a gusty wind on Saturday.

Tonight: Clear as the wind slowly diminishes. Lows near 30 in Boston, 28 in JP and 22 in the suburbs. 

Thanksgiving Timeline: Temps in Boston 

Wake up (8 AM): 32 and sunny 
High School Football (10 AM): 36 and Mostly sunny - Light winds from the west. 
Pats Game and preparing dinner ( 1 PM): 40 and increasing clouds 
Thanksgiving Dinner( 4 PM): 43 and cloudy 
Dessert (7 Pm): 42 and Cloudy

Thanksgiving night: Cloudy in the evening, then rain and sleet after midnight. Lows in the low 30's, but rising into the upper 30's by dawn. Wind shifting to SE at 10-15 MPH. No sleet accumulation expected. 

Black Friday: Rain in the morning, then showers in the afternoon. Breezy with highs in the mid 40's. SE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Total rainfall around 1/2 an inch. 

Friday night: Showers until 7 PM, then partial clearing. Lows around 30. 

Saturday: Partly sunny with a snow shower possible. Windy with highs in the low 40's. NW wind gusting over 40 MPH. 

Sunday: Mainly sunny with highs in the mid 40's. 

US weather: A major snowstorm hit the northern Rockies this week. Over 6 Feet of snow fell, temps were 25 below 0-along with wind chills around 60 Below. Wind gusts as high as 150 MPH were reported in Colorado. Seattle got a few inches of Snow and Portland, OR had temps in the 20's with snow. Blizzard conditions in Salt Lake City, UT caused major travel problems earlier this week. As of late Wednesday, the storm is giving snow to the twin cities, and thunderstorms in St. Louis. That is the same storm that is coming to our area on Black Friday.
