Heavy rain west

The rain arrived up here in Plymouth, NH this evening and has continued at a steady pace. Most of the heavy rain over the next 18 hours will be west of Boston. But, then a front will come through tomorrow evening with scattered downpours and thunderstorms. After a break on Wednesday, another storm-possibly Nicole-will race up the east coast and effect us on Thursday afternoon and night. Yet another storm may come up the coast after that.

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: Low clouds and fog with occasional showers. Temps rising to 68 by dawn. NE wind of 10-20 MPH shifting to south late.

Tuesday: Fog along with occasional showers until 3 PM, then scattered downpours and thunderstorms. Windy and humid with a high of 78. South wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Tuesday night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then mostly cloudy. Humid with lows in the mid 60's. South wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with a slight risk of an afternoon shower. Humid with highs around 80.

Thursday: Cloudy until 1 PM, then heavy rain likely. Highs in the low 70's. This could be Tropical Storm Nicole-stay tuned.

Friday: Watching another storm coming up the east coast. Otherwise, partly sunny with highs around 70.

Weekend: Behind the storm cool air will come down from Canada. Beth- at this point it looks dry for the 5k on Saturday.

New England Earthquake: A 3.1 magnitude earthquake centered around 10 miles north of Concord, NH shook the area on Saturday night. But, it was not strong enough to cause any damage or injuries. Some residents felt their houses shake for a small period of time.

Hot in West: The hottest day ever recorded occurred in LA today with a high of 113!

  1. Hey, Nolan! Thank you!!
What's your take on "Nicole" brewing down south. Do you ever look at "Crown Weather?" http://www.crownweather.com/?page_id=3257 - a friend of the 5K is alarming me with predictions of a storm racing up the east coast...
