tornado in nyc? when's the last time that happened? before 1926??
ReplyDeleteAmazingly, the last tornado to touchdown within the city limits of NYC was earlier this summer. On July 26 a very weak tornado tuchdown in the Bronx. The NWS has to survey the damage before they can comfirm if there actually was a tornado tonight, although there was a sighting of a funnel cloud near the statue of liberty. EIther way, wind gusts as high as 70 MPH were reported as trees were knocked down and buildings were damaged.
