Welcome to my first blog- boston weather

I have enjoyed watching and reading about the weather, so I have decided to create a blog. I love the always changing weather here in New England. Most days I will give a local detailed forecast and  any major events happening around the world. 

For today (sunday 8/9/09): Starting out with a little sun, followed by overcast skies. A chance of showers or thunderstorms after 3 pm. High near 75. There will be a cool breeze. 

Tonight: Showers and heavy thunderstorms likely. Becoming more humid overnight. Low around 66. 

Monday: Triple H's- Hazy, Hot and Humid. High around 93. Slight chance of a brief t-storm in the early morning hours. Crank up that AC! 

Monday night: Humid and becoming cloudy with a good chance of showers after midnight. Keep the AC running with a low around 74. 

World weather:  1 Million people evacuated in China!  As Typhoon Morakot rumbled towards China, there was torrential rain, and very high storm surge. It is now a tropical storm, with winds near 45 MPH. It is currently making landfall over Southeast China. Before it got there it caused 100 inches of rain in Taiwan. That caused the worst flooding in 50 years. It caused at least 35 people to be injured or killed in Taiwan or the Philippines.
