Storm Forecast

 A powerful storm will impact the area Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. It will bring flooding rains and damaging winds. The rain will begin Sunday afternoon  and pickup Sunday night and last through the Monday morning commute. The strongest of the wind will also be Monday morning..

A High Wind Watch Continues for the Cape and Islands 

A Wind Advisory is in effect South of Boston 

A Flood Watch is in effect for the Boston area 

Boston forecast; 

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a low of 40. 

Sunday: Increasing clouds in the morning, then showers in the afternoon. High 60. SE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. 

Sunday night:  Heavy rain with scattered thunderstorms. Very windy with temps holding in the upper 50's. SE wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 55 MPH. 

Monday; Heavy rain with scattered thunderstorms until 9  AM, the partly sunny. Temps falling into the upper 30's. SE wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 55 MPH, changing to West at 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH. Total rainfall of 2-4+ inches expected.  

Monday night: Clearing with lows in the low 30s. NW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.

Tuesday; Sunny with highs in the low 40's. 

Wednesday;  Sunny with highs in the 30's.
