An area of a low pressure will make a close pass to the area tonight into Wednesday morning. That will bring rain and gusty winds to the Cape and Islands. A few showers are possible in the Boston area. Then a front will bring scattered showers by Thursday.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Cape and Islands until 2 PM Wednesday.
A Storm Warning remains in effect for the ocean.
Boston forecast:
Tonight: Scattered showers. Near steady temps around 58. NE wind of 15-25 MPH.
Wednesday: Scattered showers in the morning, then mostly sunny in the afternoon. High 70. NE wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH.
Wednesday night: Clearing with lows in the upper 50's.
Thursday; PM showers possible. Highs in the upper 70's .
Friday: Sunny and cool. Highs in the upper 60's .
Saturday; Sunny with highs in the low 70's .
Sunday: Remains of Harvey may effect the area. Highs in the 70's.
Labor Day; Sunny with highs in the 80's.
Tropics: TS Harvey now has winds of 50 MPH and is finally expected to move off to the NE. More rain is expected, but the heaviest is ending for Houston. And over 50 inches of rain has fallen in a town in Texas. That is the most amount of rain for any one storm in the Lower 48.
