Snow Friday

Thursday will be colder and windy as a cold front crosses the area. Then a weak system will bring snow on Friday morning with minor accumulations. Then record cold is possible this weekend.

Alert:

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the Cape and Islands for Friday.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Clearing with a low of 35. NW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH late.

Thursday: Mostly sunny and windy. High 45. NW wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Thursday night: Increasing clouds with lows in the upper 20's.

Friday: Snow in the morning, then partly sunny with scattered snow showers in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 30's. Total snow amounts of a coating-2 inches in Boston. 

Saturday: Sunny and cold. Highs around 20.

Sunday: Mostly sunny as a storm misses us to the south. Highs around 30.
