Snow Forecast

A clipper system will bring snow to the area Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday night and it will amount to a few inches. The steadiest snow will occur in the evening. A few snow showers are possible on Wednesday as well. Groundhog day looks dry.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Boston area for Tuesday afternoon through the night.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Clear with a low of 18.

Tuesday: Increasing clouds until 4 PM, then snow. High 30. SW wind of 10-20 MPH.

Tuesday night: Periods of snow. Lows in the upper 20's. East wind of 10-20 MPH. Total snow amounts of 2-4 inches likely. 

Wednesday: Scattered snow squalls. Highs in the upper 30's.

Groundhog Day: Mostly sunny and cold. Highs in the upper 20's.

Friday: Sunny with highs around 30.
