Falling Temps

A strong cold front will bring rain showers and strong winds. As colder air comes into the area rain showers will change to snow in Northern and Western New England and will accumulate several inches there. In the Boston area it may end as some flurries. Either way it will remain cold for days.

Alerts:

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for parts of Northern and Western New England .

A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Cape and Islands for Sunday through Monday.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Scattered rain showers. Near steady temps near 48.

Sunday :Rain showers in the morning, then partly sunny with a passing rain and snow shower in the afternoon. Windy with temps near 48 in the morning will fall to 38 by 4 PM. NW wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Sunday night: Cloudy with a passing rain and snow shower. Lows around 30. NW wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.

Monday: Partly sunny and cold. Highs around 40.

Tuesday: Sunny with highs in the low 40's.

Wednesday: Increasing clouds-but dry for travel. Highs in the 40's.
