Heavy rains and strong winds will continue overnight and into Fri.day morning before tapering off to showers. Saturday will feature more clouds but it will be warmer. More showers are possible on Sunday before a dry Halloween.

Boston forecast:
Tonight: Rain with scattered thunderstorms. Near steady temps around 48. SE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH.
Friday: Showers in the morning, then scattered showers in the afternoon. High 50. Wind changing to west at 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. Total rainfall of 1-2 inches expected.
Friday night: Clearing with lows around 40.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 50's .
Sunday: Showers possible. Highs in the mid 50s.
