Track Shift

Thursday and Friday will feature sunny skies and temps in the upper 20's to near 30. Then a powerful storm will make a close pass to the area over the weekend. However, the latest track sends the storm further out to sea and only grazes the Boston area. So at this point only a few inches of snow is likely in Boston. But, historic snowfall totals are possible in the Mid-Atlantic.

Boston forecast;

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a low of 20.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high of 30. NW wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH.

Thursday night: Clear with lows in the teens.

Friday: Mostly sunny with highs around 30.

Saturday: Increasing clouds in the morning, then snow arriving by dusk. Highs around 30.

Saturday night: Periods of snow. Lows in the mid 20's. Some minor accumulation is likely! Stay tuned for my amounts on my midday post on Thursday!

Sunday: Any snow ends. Highs in the mid 30's.

Monday: Sunny with highs in the 30's.
