As colder air comes back into the Boston area on Sunday scattered rain showers will change to snow showers in the afternoon. And, some minor accumulation is likely. Monday will be sunny and chilly with highs around 40. Then a strong cold front will cross the area on Tuesday.
Boston forecast;
Tonight: Cloudy with fog, mist and scattered rain showers. Near steady temps around 35. NW wind of 10-15 MPH.
Sunday: Scattered rain showers in the morning, then snow showers in the afternoon. Temps near 37 in the morning will fall to 34 by 5 PM. NW wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH. Snow amounts of a coating-2 inches possible.
Sunday night: Scattered snow shower in the evening, then clearing. Lows in the mid 20's.
Monday; Mostly sunny with highs in the low 40's.
Tuesday: Some rain and snow possible. Highs in the 30's.
Wednesday: Sunny with highs around 30.
