Nor'easter Update
It now appears that the storm will travel just a bit further out to sea. So, less snow will now fall in the Boston area, but several inches will fall towards the Cape and Islands. Close Call
Clouds will increase on Tuesday ahead of the storm. As a major nor'easter will rapidly intensify as it comes up the coast and travels well SE of Nantucket. But, it will be just close enough to bring some snow and wind to Boston, but a major Blizzard is possible on the Cape. As, damaging winds and heavy snow are expected there. However, any slight shift to the west could bring more snow and wind closer to Boston.

The Week Ahead
Another arctic outbreak will come into New England this week. On Monday temps will struggle to reach 30 despite sunshine. On Tuesday clouds will begin to increase in the afternoon with temps in the 30's. Then we will watch a major storm making a close pass to the area on Tuesday night and Wednesday. At this point a grazing with some snow and wind likely, but just a slight shift either west or east will make a big difference.

The Week Ahead

Colder Again
A cold front crossed the region earlier today, and that will lead to a cold and windy Sunday. However, because of the cold air the storm on Monday will deliver snow to the DC area but then travel out to sea. Tuesday also looks below normal and dry.

Split Saturday

Snow Update
It now appears that most of the snow will stay south of the Boston area. As, the storm slides south of the area and only light snow will fall leading to very little accumulation. Early next week will be very cold again but it will be dry.
Boston forecast:
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with a low of 25.
Sunday: Cloudy with scattered snow showers. High 34. West wind of 10-20 MPH. Snow may coat the ground.
Sunday night: Periods of light snow. Lows around 15. Total snow amounts of a coating-2 inches likely.
Monday: Any snow over by 8AM, then becoming partly sunny. Very cold with highs around 20.
Tuesday: Sunny and near record cold! Highs in the lows 20's.
Wednesday: Some sun with highs in the 20's.
