Storm Out To Sea

It now appears that the storm will go out to sea just leading to some clouds during the day on Monday. Then, high pressure will resume control of the area during the week. And temps will soar into the 80's during the middle of the week.

 A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for the Boston for tonight into Monday morning.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Increasing clouds with dense fog. Low 48. Visibility may be less than 1/4 of a mile at times.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with dense fog in the morning then partly sunny in the afternoon. High 65. NE wind of 10-20 MPH. Visibility may be less than 1/4 of a mile at times in the morning.

Monday night: Clearing with lows around 50.

Tuesday: Sunny and warmer. Highs in the mid 70's.

Wednesday: Sunny and warm. Highs in the mid 80's.

Thursday: Sunny with highs in the 80's.

Friday: Sunny with highs in the 70's.

Tropics: TD 11 has formed way out in the Central Atlantic and is no threat to land. Also watching an area of thunderstorms in the SW Caribbean that may develop.

Close Call

Sunday will be another great fall day with sunny skies and comfy temps. Then a powerful ocean storm will make a close pass to the area on Monday. At this point the brunt of the storm will stay out to sea, but a shower or 2 is possible. Then, more nice weather is expected.

Tonight: Clear with  areas of fog. Low 52.

Sunday; Mostly sunny with highs near 65 in Boston and 70 inland. SE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Sunday night: Increasing clouds with lows in the mid 50's. NE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Monday: Cloudy and breezy with a shower possible. Highs in the mid 60's. NE wind of 15-25 MPH. Stay tuned because the track of the storm is not set in stone!

Storm Likely Monday

High Pressure will continue to move in from the west leading to sunny skies for the weekend. Temps will be a bit cooler at the coast because of a sea breeze. Then a powerful ocean storm will make a close pass on Monday. At this point the track of the storm will pass just SE of Nantucket leading to rain and some wind. But the exact track is still in question so stay tuned for more details!

Tonight: Clear with areas of fog. Low 53.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with highs near 67 in Boston and 73 inland. SE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Saturday night: Clear with lows in the low 50's.

A Nice Weekend

 NE wind will bring clouds from the north as a storm continues to spin across Atlantic Canada on Friday. Then, high pressure will slide in from the west leading to a great weekend. On Monday we will need to watch a storm coming up the coast.

Some Clouds

Some clouds will continue to drop down from the north on Thursday and temps will hold in the 60's. Then, increasing sunshine will come in for the weekend as High Pressure moves in from the west. And at this point the storm early next week  is out to sea.

Forecast Update

Rain Update

An area of rain will move in from the west into the area late at night and last thru Sunday morning. Then, drying will come into New England in the afternoon. And high pressure will resume control of the area for several days.

Tonight: Showers with scattered thunderstorms. Low 65. South wind of 15-25 MPH.

Sunday: Showers with scattered thunderstorms in the morning, then partly sunny in the afternoon .High 70. SW wind of 10-20 MPH in the morning, then shifting to west at 15-20 MPH in the afternoon.

Sunday night: Clearing with lows in the mid 40's, NW wind of 15-25 MPH,

Monday: Sunny with highs in the low 60's.

Tuesday: Sunny with highs in the mid 60's.

Wednesday: Sunny with highs in the 60's .

Tropics: Typhoon Usagi now has winds of 115 MPH and will make a direct hit on Hong Kong on Sunday with flooding rains and winds over 100 MPH!

Showers Sunday

On Saturday clouds will increase ahead of a low pressure system coming in from the west. And the rain should arrive on Saturday night and last thru Sunday morning. But, it should dry out for the afternoon. And next week looks great again as high pressure moves in.

Fine Friday

Friday will be another great September day with sunny skies and comfy temps. Then clouds will increase late on Saturday ahead of a cold front. And the cold front will bring us some wet weather on Sunday.

Tonight: Clear with a low of 57.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a sea breeze. Highs near 75 in Boston and 80 inland. SE wind of 10-15 MPH.

Friday night: Clear with lows around 60.

Saturday: Mostly sunny in the morning, then increasing clouds in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 70's. SW wind of 15-25 MPH.

Saturday night; Scattered showers in the evening, then showers late. Lows around  60. South wind of 15-25 MPH.

Tropics: Super Typhoon Usagi now has winds of 160 MPH in the West Pacific. It will hit southern Taiwan as a super Typhoon over the weekend. And then it will hit Hong Kong as a major Typhoon early next week.

The cold front set off showers and storms over the last 24 hours, now clearing will come into the area for the weekend. And, temps will hold near 70 during the day. Then, a front may set off some more showers by Monday.

Tropics: Gabrielle has degenerated into a regular low well east of New England and will bring heavy rains to Nova Scotia. And, TS Ingrid has formed in the southern Gulf of Mexico and will make landfall in Mexico in a few days.

Severe Storms

Thursday will be another warm day with temps rising into the 80's. Then, a sharp cold front will cross the area on Thursday night leading to severe storms. And, the front should send TS Gabrielle out to sea, but if the front slows down it could come closer. On Friday there could be an early shower before cooler temps come in for the weekend.

 A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the waters SE of Nantucket as TS Gabrielle makes a close pass. Stay tuned!

Back to Plymouth State

I am returning on Monday morning to Plymouth State University for my Fall semester. And, I plan on continuing the blog and will write as often as I can. However, my studies come first.
