Storm Timeline

Thanks to all who came to my party. It was great to see everyone and to celebrate my 1000th post. The weather themed food was really delicious and the company was terrific. The next storm will arrive on Monday night with snow changing to rain. However, before the change over snow will accumulate several inches in Boston with even more possible further NW of town.

Alerts:

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the Boston area.


Boston forecast:

Tonight : Clear and cold. Low 20.

Monday: Sunny in the morning, then increasing clouds in the afternoon. High 34. NE wind of 10-15 MPH.

 Storm Timeline: For Boston-subject to change

11 PM: Snow arrives in Boston. Temp 28.

Midnight-11 AM Tuesday: Heavy snow and breezy. Temp rising to 34. NE wind of 10-20 MPH.

Noon-4 PM: Snow changes to sleet and eventually rain. Temp 37. East wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH.

5PM-8 PM: Rain may change back to snow before ending.

Snow Totals: A tricky call

8-12 Inches: NW of rte 495

5-8 inches: Most of the Boston area. About 6 inches in JP.

3-5 Inches: SE of Boston.

  1. Hi Nolan! Glad to hear your party was a success. So BPS has closed for Tuesday...this is so confusing! What's a small school with no buses to do??? Are you getting up early (5ish) to update??? If so, I'll check out your post! - Tricia

  2. Hey Tricia! I just posted my latest thoughts on the storm. I suggest to close school tomorrow because the roads will be pretty bad for the morning drive.
