A powerful nor'easter will hit the area with heavy precip and strong winds. However, most of the percip will fall in the form of rain in Boston and along the coast. But, further inland it will fall as snow and will pile up quite a bit. There is chance for another storm this weekend.

A High Wind Warning is in effect for the north and south shores. Wind gusts to 60 MPH are likely
A Wind Advisory is in effect for Boston.
A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for the entire coast.
Boston forecast:
Tonight: Rain mixed with wet snow at times. Near steady temps around 37. NE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH. No Snow accumulation expected.
Thursday: Rain in the morning, then scattered rain showers in the afternoon. High 43. NE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH in the morning, decreasing to 15-25 MPH in the afternoon.
Thursday night: Scattered rain showers diminish. Lows in the low 30's.
Friday: Sunny with highs in the mid 30's.
Saturday: Cloudy with snow possible late. Highs around freezing. Stay tuned!
Sunday: Clearing with highs in the 30's.
