Mainly Rain

It now appears that the cold air will not come in quick enough for the rain to change to all snow in Boston. However, there is still a chance for some wet snowflakes to mix in before ending by mid morning. Then, the rest of the holiday weekend will be mainly dry and cold.

Alerts: A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect NW of Worcester.

Boston Forecast:

Tonight: Cloudy until 2 AM, then rain. Low 36.

Friday: Rain mixed with wet snow until 9 AM, then scattered sprinkles. High 42. NW wind 10-20 MPH. Snow may coat the ground in some areas.

Friday night: Clearing with lows in the mid 20's.

Christmas Eve: Sunny with scattered flurries. Highs in the low 30's.

Christmas Day: The storm goes out to sea. Sunny with highs in the mid 30's.
