A storm system will come in from the west and deliver rain showers to the area on Thursday. Behind the system temps will fall along with a gusty wind. Then, the coldest air of the season will come in for the upcoming weekend.
Alerts: A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect NW of Worcester until 9 AM. Freezing rain and sleet will fall there, making roads slippery.
Boston Forecast:
Tonight: Cloudy with a rain shower possible. Low 36.
Thursday: Scattered rain showers. Windy with a high of 55. SW wind of 15-20 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.
Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with rain showers ending. Lows around 40. Wind shifting to west at 15-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH.
Friday: I come home for Christmas break! Increasing sunshine with falling temps. Temps near 50 in the morning will fall to 40 by dusk.
Saturday: Sunny and cold. Highs in the mid 30's.
Sunday: Partly sunny with highs in the low 30's.
