This is my 600th post since I started my blog a few years ago-thanks so much for reading. I plan to continue this blog thru the upcoming winter and beyond and will write as often as I can from Plymouth, NH. Another nice day is in store for Tuesday as temps climb into the 60s. Then a powerful storm will come up the coast and give us our first nor'easter of the season. Even though it likely won't be tropical, it will still be powerful as it intensifies and combines with another system coming in from the west. There are still some timing issues to work out-but a major rainstorm is probable.
Boston, MA forecast:
Tonight: Partly cloudy with a low of 48.
Tuesday: A mix of sun and clouds. High 68. SW wind of 10-20 MPH.
Tuesday night: Increasing clouds with lows in the low 50's.
Wednesday: Showers in the morning, then heavy rain in the afternoon. Windy with highs around 60. NE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH.
Wednesday night: Heavy rain the evening, then scattered showers. Lows in the 50's. NE wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH. Total rainfall of 1-3 inches expected.
Thursday: Partly sunny with a shower possible. Highs in the mid 60's.
Friday: Sunny with highs in the low 60's.
Tropics: The cluster of storms in the Gulf of Mexico has failed to become a Tropical Storm today. However, it will still hammer FL with heavy rain and strong winds on Tuesday. It will then come up the coast and become our nor'easter! Stay tuned for more updates.
