A nice Opening Day

After the sox failed to record a single win on the road, they will return to Fenway to sunny skies and a light breeze. Because of the light wind, it will be onshore leading to cooler readings in the Fens than inland. Without a sea breeze over the weekend, temps will be near 60 on Saturday and close to 70 on Sunday along with some sun. The warmth will continue into early next week.

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: Clear with patchy frost. Lows near 35 in Boston, 32 in JP and 27 in the suburbs.

Friday: Mostly sunny with a sea breeze. Highs near 47 in Downtown Boston, 50 at Fenway and 56 inland. Wind blowing in from Right Field at 10-20 MPH. Go Sox!

Friday night: Clear with lows in the mid 30's.

Saturday: A great spring day with sunny skies and no sea breeze. Highs in the low 60's.

Sunday: Increasing clouds with a shower as a warm front comes thru. Highs around 70!

Monday: Record heat possible! Partly sunny with highs around 80! The record for Boston is 78.

Earthquake: A magnitude 7.2 hit off the coast of NE Japan earlier today causing some damage. A Tsunami warning was issued for the coast, but it was later cancelled. Thankfully, it was not a strong as the quake a few weeks ago.

Extra: Stay tuned for a 2010-11 winter review tomorrow!

  1. Great weather news for this weekend. Charlie's on the Orioles (Pony) and has his first practice on Saturday morning, in what you say will be great baseball weather. Looking forward to your winter review.
