Quiet For Now

Cold and mainly quiet weather will last thru Thursday with temps in the 30's by day and 20's by night. Then a powerful ocean storm will make a close pass to the area late Friday and lasting into the weekend. The potential is there for another significant snow event, but it is too far in advance to be sure. It could just as easily head out to sea, like we saw last winter.

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: Clear and seasonably cold. Lows near 25 in Boston, 22 in JP and 17 in the suburbs.

Tuesday: Partly Sunny in the morning, then mostly cloudy with scattered flurries after 3 PM. High 37. SW wind of 10-20 MPH.

Tuesday night: Scattered flurries until 8 PM, then clearing. Lows in the low to mid 20's.

Wednesday: Sunny with highs in the low 30's.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with highs around 30.

Friday: Cloudy with snow and wind possible by dark, depending on the track of a powerful ocean storm. Highs around freezing.

World Weather: Major floods larger than the state of Texas in Queensland, Australia have caused thousands of people to evacuate and damage to buildings.
