Another Blizzard Possible

After the arctic air from today, a warm front will come thru tomorrow providing us with a little light snow in the morning. An inch or 2 is possible. The bigger storm arrives late Wednesday and into Thursday with the potential for another FOOT of snow. The exact track is not set in stone, and just a slight shift closer the coast would "milder" air in off the water, allowing sleet and rain to mix in and cutting back on snow totals. At this time, I expect all snow in Boston and points NW and SW. SE of the Boston area less snow will be found because it will start as rain.

Lows this Morning:

Keene, NH: -25
Worcester, MA:-9
Lawrence: -9
Norwood: -6
Natick: -5
JP: -3
Logan: -2 (First temp below 0 since 2005)

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: Clear this evening, then cloudy late. Temps near 6 this evening, but rising to 17 by dawn.

Tuesday: Snow in the morning, then some peaks of sun are possible in the afternoon. High 34.
SW wind of 10-20 MPH. 1-2 inches of snow expected.

Tuesday night: Cloudy with lows in the mid 20's.

Wednesday: Cloudy until 3 PM, then snow becoming heavy by nightfall. Highs around freezing.

Wednesday night thru Thursday: Heavy snow and strong winds likely. Temps in the upper 20's. A FOOT or more of snow is possible. I will issue amounts tomorrow. Stay tuned!

  2. At this time, it seems the snow will fall Wednesday night, and come to an end before the commute on Thursday. So, it depends on how much we get and how fast they can clear it. I will give my amounts later tonight.
