Flakes Friday

Wednesday and Thursday will be cold and dry. Then, a warm front will come through the area on Friday night-bringing the first snowfall of the season. However, it will be very light and will only amount to an inch or less. A bigger storm is likely on Sunday, and the precip type is in question.

Boston, MA forecast:

Tonight: Clear and cold. Lows near 26 in Boston, 23 in JP and 18 in the suburbs.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and cold. High 35. West wind of 10-20 MPH. Wind chills in the 20's.

Wednesday night: Clear with lows around 20.

Thursday: The coldest of the season so far. Sunny with highs in the upper 20's, although it will be less windy.

Friday: Increasing clouds with snow showers arriving around dark. Highs in the low 30's. A small accumulation of snow is possible overnight.

Saturday: Partly sunny with highs in the mid 40's.

Sunday: A powerful storm will effect the area with heavy precip and strong winds. Highs in the 30's. Stay tuned on this one!
