Wettest March on record continues!

We have now set the record for the most rain ever recorded in March with total at Logan 11.1 inches so far. That breaks the old record of 11 set back in 1953. Now, the heavy rain is occurring over the area and will continue through the night and most of Tuesday. That will create major flooding, as the rivers and streams are already very high. It will also create urban flooding, many roads will have big puddles on them. Basement flooding is very likely, so please bring up any thing you want to save now. The rain will finally taper to showers on Tuesday evening, and finally coming to a stop on Wednesday. Then, warm and sunny weather will return.

Alerts:

A Flood Warning is in effect for ALL of eastern and central mass, including Boston. That means major flooding is occurring or is imminent.

A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for the coastline for the noon high tide Tuesday.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for the coastline, including Boston.
