Today we had a batch of heavier showers come through at around 3 PM in Boston, but it quickly exited. In Brighton we had some ice pellets mixed in with the rain, as temps dipped into the 30's. Also, snowflakes were reported as close as Woburn this afternoon. Now, a storm loaded with moisture is centered around Atlanta, GA and will slowly move up the coast and bring us heavy rain and strong winds Saturday afternoon through Sunday. However, it will be damp Friday into Saturday morning.
Boston, MA forecast:
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with lows in the mid to upper 30's.
Friday: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers, although a few breaks of sun are also possible. Highs near 42 along the coast and 47 inland. A light NE wind.
Friday night: Cloudy with scattered showers and drizzle. Lows in the upper 30's.
Saturday: Scattered showers until 4 PM, then heavy rain. Highs in the mid 40's. Becoming windy with NE winds of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.
Saturday night: The height of the storm hits with heavy rain and very strong winds. Lows in the upper 30's. NE winds of 30-40 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH in Boston and 60 MPH on the Cape and Islands.
Sunday: Heavy rain in the morning, then showers continuing in the afternoon. Remaining very windy with highs in the mid 40's. NE winds of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH in Boston and 60 MPH on the Cape and Islands.
Monday: Showers become more scattered with highs in the mid 40's.
