Surprise Snow

A small storm picked up some moisture from the Atlantic and dropped snow and rain on the area today. Surface temps around freezing prevented more snow to accumulate. The snow turned to rain in Brighton around 1 PM, and light to moderate rain has continued this afternoon in Boston with snow to the NW.

Forecast for the rest of the week:

Tonight: Rain and snow until 9 PM, then remaining cloudy. Lows in the upper 20's. Watch for icy spots in the morning.

Wednesday: Becoming sunny, high 38. West wind of 10-20 MPH.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy, Lows near 25 in Boston and the upper teens in the suburbs.

Thursday: Sunny, high 39.

Friday: Watching another coastal storm. At this point some light snow is likely in the afternoon with highs around 30.

Saturday: Clearing, highs in the mid 30's.


Weather News: A series of strong storm are hitting the West coast, the first one came a shore this morning. Over 6 inches of rain over a 3 day span is expected, along with wind gusts over 50 MPH-even in LA and San Diego. A tornado was reported a Sunset Beach, CA which flipped several cars. Sunset beach is just south of Long Beach, CA.
