We also had some strong wind gusts along the coast:
Nantucket: 51 mph
Blue hill: 51
Chatham:48
Boston: 48
Now, at 8 pm, thunderstorms are crossing the region. I saw lightning at around 7 PM this evening here in JP as the cold air came crashing towards the coast. I don't expect a flash freeze in the city, but there will be some icy spots. However, outside of the city a freeze is possible so be careful in the morning.
Latest forecast:

Thursday: Sunny and blustery. High near 42. West winds of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. Wind chills in the 20's.
Thursday night: The coldest night so far as the arctic air arrives. Lows near 20 in the city and teens elsewhere.
Friday: Bright blue skies and very cold, high 29. NW winds gusting over 30 MPH.
Next storm potential: Watching a coastal storm for Sunday. At this early stage it looks like a grazing with just light snow. Stay tuned for details.
