It now appears that Wednesday and Thanksgiving day will have an onshore flow leading to more of the same--low clouds and drizzle for most areas. Then, a storm approaches from the south and a late day shower is possible on turkey day. A steadier rain will arrive overnight, and continue all day Friday and Friday night.
Thanksgiving week Forecast:
Tonight: Cloudy for most, except some clearing around NH border. Near steady temp around 45 in Boston area, but near 30 where it clears out.
Wednesday: Mainly cloudy, although some breaks of sun are possible. High 52 at the coast to 56 inland. A light NE wind.
Wednesday night: Cloudy. Lows in the low to mid 40's.
Thanksgiving Day: Mainly cloudy, but some breaks of sun are possible early. High 53. NE wind of 10-15 MPH.
Thursday night: Showers arriving by 7 PM. Becoming windy. NE wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH.
Friday: Showers. Windy. High 48. NE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH.
Friday night: Rain changing to snow from west to east. A changeover to snow may never make it to the coast, including Boston. A minor accumulation is possible away from the coast. Lows near freezing. Windy. NE wind shifting to NW at 20-30 MPH with gusts to 45 MPH.
Extended: It now appears that after a brief warmup early next week, winter-like air will come in for an extended period of time.
