Weekend Storm

It now appears that the storm on Friday will only bring scattered snow showers with no accumulation. Then a powerful storm will bring snow changing to a wintry mix Saturday night into Sunday. Significant snow amounts are expected before the changeover. And the wind will be gusty along the coast leading to pockets of coastal flooding.

Alerts:

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for all of the Boston area for Saturday night into Sunday.

 A Coastal Flood Watch is in effect for the coast. 

Boston forecast:

Tonight; Scattered snow showers late. Low 25. 

Friday; Scattered snows showers in the morning, then partly sunny in the afternoon. High 40. South wind of 10-20 MPH. Snow may coat the ground. 

Friday night: Clear with a lows around 20. 

Saturday; Increasing clouds with highs in the mid 20's .

Saturday night: Heavy snow and windy. Temps holding in the 20's. 

Sunday; A mix of snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain. Highs around freezing  Stay tuned for snow totals on Friday! 

MLK Day; Sunny with highs in the teens .
