Stormy Marathon Monday

Marathon Monday will be a tough day for a race with a cold wind driven rain. More showers are then likely on Tuesday before clearing comes into the area on Wednesday. More rain is likely by late in the week.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Scattered showers of rain, sleet and freezing rain. Temps rising to 37 by dawn. East wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.

Marathon Monday; Rain with scattered thunderstorms. Windy with a high of 50. East wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. Total rainfall of 1-2 inches. 

Monday night: Rain likely. Lows in the low 40's. SE wind of 10-20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH. 

Tuesday: Scattered showers. Highs around 50. 

Wednesday; Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 50's. 

Thursday; Rain showers likely. Highs in the 40's. 

Friday; More rain possible. Highs in the 40's.
