Another Nor'easter

Tuesday will be the calm before the storm with some sun and light winds. Then a powerful nor'easter will hit the area Wednesday afternoon through Wednesday night. The storm will bring a mix of rain and snow close to Boston along with strong winds. At this point significant snow is likely, but just a slight shift in the track could change the totals.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Boston and points NW

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy with a low of 28. North wind of 15-25 MPH.

Tuesday; A mix of sun and clouds. High 40. NW wind of 10-20 MPH.

Tuesday night: Increasing clouds with lows around 30.

Wednesday: Scattered rain and snow in the morning, then  a mix of rain and snow in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 30's.NE wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 50 MPH.

Wednesday night: Any mix should change to heavy snow. Lows in the low 30's.  Total snow amounts of 4-7 inches likely in Boston.  

Thursday: Any snow ends. Highs in the upper 30's.

Friday: Sunny with highs in the 40's.
