Weekend Forecast

A strong arctic front will cross the area on Friday evening leading to scattered snow showers and squalls that could drop a quick coating to an inch where they occur. Behind the front arctic air will come into New England on Saturday. It will remain cold on Sunday.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Clear with diminishing winds. Low 23. West wind of 15-25 MPH with gusts to 35 MPH.

Friday: Mostly sunny in the morning, then mostly cloudy with scattered snow squalls in the afternoon. High 34. West wind of 15-25 MPH.

Friday night: Scattered snow squalls in the evening, then clearing and cold. Lows around 10. Snow may coat the ground in some areas.

Saturday: Sunny and windy. Very cold with highs around 20.

Sunday: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 30's.

Monday: Sunny with highs around 40.
