Wild Weather

Arctic air will continue to come into the area tonight along with damaging winds. Friday will be cold and windy along with sunny skies. Then a storm will effect the area on Saturday. It will start as snow but as warmer air comes up from the south the snow will change to rain. However, a few inches of snow is likely before then.

Alerts;

A High Wind Warning is in effect for all of the Boston area until 5 AM Friday.

A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for the Boston area until 9 AM Friday.

Boston forecast:

Tonight: Any snow squalls fade to clearing skies. Damaging winds with a low of 2 ABOVE. West wind of 25-35 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH. Wind chill values as low as 20 BELOW late.

Friday: Sunny and frigid. Windy with a high of 17. West wind of 20-30 MPH with gusts to 40 MPH. Wind chill values as low as 20 BELOW before 9 AM.

Friday night: Increasing clouds early, then snow late. Lows around 10.

Saturday: Snow in the morning, then rain in the afternoon. Highs around 40. Total snow amounts of 2-4 inches expected. 

Saturday night: Rain showers. Temps holing near 40.

Sunday: Rain likely. Highs around 50.

Monday: Clearing with highs in the 30's.
